Building Codes

2006 brought important changes in building codes, impacting all major design codes. These codes define how our buildings are designed. Understanding the effects of these new codes on our industry is vital. View this video overview to explain why the changes were made and how they impact you and your business.

American Buildings has completed work on IBC 2006 code issues and is completely ready to meet new code requirements. Final codes adoption varies for each building jurisdiction. Each jurisdiction has its own code adoption cycle and process schedule. To find out the most current information on the codes in your state or county, you must check the ICC website. Some building code jurisdictions still call for older editions of IBC so it's important to check which one you should use regularly.

The level of service I have experienced at American Buildings Company, from our district manager through the Customer Service representative has far exceeded my expectations. The level of quality that I have witnessed in the American Buildings Company product is in my opinion the best in the industry.
