LEED Gold Rated Truck Terminal

Staying true to their commitment as a responsible partner in future sustainability, Pitt-Ohio, a leader in the trucking industry, significantly invested in a new 95,765 sf facility that received Gold LEED status. The pre-engineered metal building features a terminal, mechanic shop, office, warehouse, and includes a full mezzanine.

Dedication to environmental and social responsibility is evident in numerous design decisions, such as choosing metal construction due to its sizable percentage of recycled content, a metal roof system utilizing cool coatings and the addition of solar panels to support an overall microgrid effort for the facility, energy efficient light wall panels allowing natural light. The installation of eight wind turbines onsite capture and store additional natural energy for the facility’s use.

This incredible project was awarded the American Buildings Excellence in Design Building of the Year.
