Large Sports Complex Expansion with Indoor Arena

The Western Sports Park expansion in Farmington, Utah, is a major renovation and addition to an existing sports complex, transforming the site into a large‑scale, multi‑purpose athletic facility. Spanning more than 120,000 sf, the project incorporates approximately 1,100 tons of steel to support a central arena and multiple connector buildings. The expanded campus is designed to accommodate a wide range of indoor and outdoor sporting and event functions, with multiple enclosed structures integrated into the existing site layout.

The primary arena was designed with large seating capacity, including retractable bleachers and a mezzanine level with private boxes, concessions, and drink rails. Large perimeter windows line the structure, introducing abundant natural light into the interior event space. Metl‑Span insulated metal panels were selected for both the roof and wall systems, providing energy efficiency and durability. The panels, finished in Regal Gray and Zinc, are paired with expansive glass storefront elements to create a modern exterior aesthetic while supporting long‑term performance.
