Fire Station with Connected Single Slope Buildings

The city of Florence needed a fire station facility to provide coverage of the growing population, improving response times and allowing the department to maintain its Class One rating. Two connected single slope buildings provide separate areas for the fire apparatus and admin space — meeting in the center for a unique look at the connector.

The apparatus building’s design includes six 12’ x 14’ framed openings for overhead doors. A clean white masonry finish varies in height around the structure, adding dimension and complimenting the charcoal exterior wall panels and red overhead doors.
